I visit Yosemite National Park so often that I refer to it as my home away from home. Half Dome mountain, at the upper end of the valley, holds a special fascination for me. Each time I see it, it's as if I'm viewing it for the first time. Whether the changing seasons or the light, it's always different and dramatic. The scene was provocative, but I chose the time of day - sunset - to heighten the mood. It was breathtaking; the sheer cliff walls in the foreground, and Half Dome regal in the background, impervious to the playful antics of the clouds skipping nimbly nearby. - SL
