I enjoy watching the antics of wrens. They are not too fearful of humans, yet they don’t back down when protecting their nest box from much larger birds. They are tireless parents and never seem to sit still more than a few seconds. I wanted to capture one in a painting siting still on a cattail, the background out of focus, with the feeling that in a second he would be gone. - EY
