This was a one-in-a-million shot. The ground squirrel(?) was reaching for something on a low branch, and I was ready with my camera.
The image, shot in Colorado, appeared in Wildlife Art Magazine and nearly started an international incident because of controversy over whether it was a squirrel or a chipmunk.
(Technically, a chipmunk is a squirrel.) - AB
